Islam Through My Eyes: A Contemporary Islamic Art Exhibition Catalogue
Sixteen Muslim Artists, Twenty Two Works
Curated by Tayyibah Baz and Nuhr Studio
Itqan Exhibitions is proud to present the catalogue for Islam Through My Eyes, a two day exhibition of contemporary Islamic art held at Nuhr Studio, The Grand, Manningham Lane, Bradford, on 11 and 12 July 2026. Curated by Tayyibah Baz and Nuhr Studio, the catalogue brings together sixteen Muslim artists and twenty two works, spanning calligraphy, painting, ceramics, textile, and mixed media.
Organised into three sections, Calligraphy and Discipline, Living Faith, Lived Identity, and Witness Through Legacy, the catalogue traces how each artist holds faith and creative practice together. Full colour images sit alongside artist bios and statements, offering a close look at the ideas, materials, and personal histories behind each piece.
The Islam Through My Eyes catalogue is available now to read online and to order as a printed copy. It is an invitation to collectors, curators, worshippers, and fellow artists to engage with the work of sixteen Muslim artists whose practices are shaping how faith and identity are expressed through contemporary art.

“Knowing we’re made from clay reminds me we’re all equal before Allah, it’s only our deeds that set us apart.” - Iram
British Pakistani Islamic calligraphy artist Iram explores faith through material and form, moving from biomedical sciences and medical writing back into a self-taught practice rooted in Qur’anic reflection.
Her work centres Islamic calligraphy, clay, and earthy materials to reflect on creation and return. In Islam Through My Eyes, she presents a ceramic vase inscribed with Qur’anic verses on human creation from clay, using circular composition to echo the cycle of life, death, and return to the earth.
The work holds space between identity, faith, and lived experience, opening reflection on tawhid, humility, and what it means to create as a Muslim artist in the West.
