Nuhr studio

Sara is the founder of Nuhr Studio, a creative space on Manningham Lane, Bradford, dedicated to celebrating art, culture, and community through meaningful experiences. With a background in fashion and the arts, her practice explores faith, creativity, and personal experience through curatorial projects and her own artwork. Inspired by the Islamic principle of Itqan, the pursuit of excellence through sincerity and intention, she began learning Islamic archery and the journey transformed her understanding of discipline, trust in Allah, and what it means to strive with purpose.

In Islam Through My Eyes, her role as co-curator and co founder, she presents two works rooted in that journey. ITQAN, acrylic on canvas, depicts a figure drawing a bow against an open landscape, the Arabic word for excellence centred in the composition, reflecting on who we become while striving rather than the moment of hitting the mark. TAWAKKUL is painted directly onto a 49 inch Mongolian Recurve Bow, the script for complete reliance upon Allah tracing the length of the object itself. Together the two works frame the same practice from opposite ends: do everything with full intention, then trust Allah with the outcome.
